What do I need to bring?

Refer to the “Packing list” on the Gear N Stuff page.

Is everything included?

All meals, a towel and bedding requirements are included.

You just need to bring your clothing, personal items and an adventurous attitude.

Can I charge my phone and camera on tour?

We have 240vlt & 12volt charging while vehicles are traveling.

Will we have phone coverage on tour?

In some areas we visit mobile phone coverage may not be possible.

It is our suggestion that you drop your watch into your bag, use phone in camera mode and embrace dropping off the grid for the tour.

How much luggage can I bring?

We get you to pack the necessities for the trip into a plastic container as shown on the Gear N Stuff page.  (Ease of packing in vehicle and utilising during tour.)  Due to limited space, excess baggage may be able to be placed externally on the vehicles where Pickup and Return points are different, otherwise excess is to be left at the pickup/return point.

If you require your baggage to come along for the ride as well, this does need to be booked in advance as we are limited on space and even if it does come along you still need to pack into the supplied container as your large/excess baggage may be hard to get to during the tour.

I have extra photography equipment, i.e a Tripod, that I wish to bring?

As above, just let us know beforehand, but this time we’ll find a place to pack it so it is accessible during the trip.

What is a Swag?

Swags are an Aussie traditional canvas, waterproof sleeping cacoon that has a 100mm foam mattress, pillow and sleeping bag inside. Each swag either single or double is totally screened with zipped insect mesh so a comfortable and insect free nights sleep can be had.

Are there showers and toilets?

A lot of our tours are in National Parks near streams and have Eco/Pit toilets. Where we stay outside of these areas we supply a portable toilet.

Away from rivers and where water permits we utilise a 12V shower system.  Water can be heated via a billy on the camp fire or gas cooker if required.

Do we participate?

Beyond ‘N’ Back Tours encourage our customers to jump right in and embrace all aspects of the day to day requirements of the tour, to get the most from the experience.

As we say this is not glamping!

Do you cater for special dietary needs?

Let us know, when enquiring for a tour, of your needs and let us go the extra mile to accommodate you.

What does Happy Hour mean?

This is a time for us all to sit, talk and unwind from the days adventures before dinner.  Where permitted, i.e No fire ban, this is generally around a camp fire or could be sitting by a stream. We will provide you with a couple of drinks and some pre dinner nibbles to enjoy.

Do I need travel insurance?

Beyond ‘N’ Back Tours strongly recommends clients to have their own personal travel insurance, that at a minimum covers loss or damage to personal property, illness, injury or you cancel / can’t meet departure date.

What happens if it rains?

You wear a raincoat!  Also as shown on the Gear N Stuff page we have a large canopy to sit under.  When its bedtime, Swags may be placed under this as well or under the Canopies off the vehicle.

What sort of temperatures could I expect?

Different tours operate in differing climates/temperatures. It is important to be sun wise. Please ensure you bring a sun hat, sunglasses & sun screen. A warm hat is also suggested for evenings.  We also strongly suggest insect repellent so you don’t get up close and personal with some of Australia’s more friendlier creatures – the mosquito etc.

Do I need to re-confirm our Tour?

Customers need to re-confirm their tour at least 7 days prior. A Beyond ‘N’ Back courtesy email will be sent or phone call made to your supplied contact information at this time.
